If you were expecting a restaurant, market or cafe and landed on a listing in this group, it usually means the original source listed the business under an unusual or mixed category rather than a plain food label. Contact information, address and hours are still pulled from the same public data used across White Plains and New York, so they should be accurate even where the category is not a perfect fit. Because this group spans everything from medical clinics to auto shops to gift stores, there is no single etiquette or norm that applies across it; treat each listing on its own terms and call ahead if the category alone does not tell you what you need to know.

White Plains is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around White Plains is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I will be suing Westchester family court for placing an order of protection against me instead of my father, while my parents were divorced and years of the police arriving at our house because of him and then blaming everything on me when I got older. In no situation should a divorced husband with 0 custody be allowed to stay in the house while the youngest child is thrown out. I am suing Family Court for being so heavy handed on my first ever non criminal case. It's clear as day the Westchester County police and court system is jealous of a young Latino having so much money and a nice home. Plus the police are terrible at enforcing order of protections. It would be really easy to ignore that TOP at 21 and sneak back in if you wanted too. A year order of protection for a first time offender is a lot and will be reviewed. Also my public defenders weak defense is under review as well.

Judge Robert A. Neary gave my 19yr old son 12yrs on a first offense. A fight were no one died, victim was out the hospital same day. Yonkers police watch an event of young kids drinking and parting all day in public on a Main Street. The police also watched a drunk man pull up and started harassing the kids, instead of them interfering to prevent a fight they continue to watch as it escalated to someone getting hurt, then they rushed in and arrested 10 black kids and sentenced them all to 10yrs or more. Shame on Yonker and Westchester County as a whole.

There has got to be a system of checks and balances in this court. The fact that their staff can talk to people disrespectfully and get away with it has continued to create a culture of mistrust and distaste. You guys have got to keep in mind that you are single-handedly deciding to make or break people’s lives in a matter of minutes. Of course you’ll have people with high anxiety calling in for whatever reason. We’re not asking you to be a therapist but at least have a sense of understanding. You lack patience and people skills. I pray that God shows you guys better because this right here just isn’t it.

I needed to try to get an order of protection against someone who was stalking me. I asked where to go and they sent me to Family Court. Figuring that was the right place despite not being in a romantic relationship with said stalker, thats where I went. Did everything I needed to do filled out the forms and what not. I went before the judge Meryl Guzman and she started treating me like I was stupid. She asked me why I filed a petition in family court in such a condesending matter. I answered I was directed here. And she further continued to treat me like I was stupid saying well this is family court and you are not supposed to come here. She could have at least sent me to the right place. So I am further traumatized by my ordeal thanks to this and mortified by the carelessness and lack of empathy.
